OWL+ is the part of the OWL where you can connect with the people at the Writing Center. It’s exclusively for OHM students. With tailored offers, we support you in very practical ways as you work on your academic writing. You can also use OWL+ to team up with your fellow students. Join a writing circle!
Writing consultation
In the writing consultation, you can receive individual and free support for your writing projects or request text feedback. The writing tutors look forward to working with you.
Writing workshops
The writing workshops are designed to be interactive, with both individual and group work. This means you develop your writing skills through a mix of input, exercises, and exchange.
Written text feedback
We offer you brief written text feedback (not proofreading). Simply upload a draft with a feedback request. We will reply as soon as possible.
Online courses
Our online courses in Moodle include self-study modules, workshop materials, and recorded writing workshops. Learn at your own pace, whenever and wherever you like.
Writing groups
Writing feels less lonely together? – We think so too! Use the MS Teams channel “Schreibgruppen” to find allies.

What is Moodle and how do I access it?
Moodle is the learning platform we use at Ohm – not just in the Writing Center. As an Ohm member, you log in with your regular myOhm credentials. To access the Self Service Portal, you need to be connected to the university network or – from outside – set up a VPN connection.
What is MS Teams and how can I use it?
MS Teams is a communication platform we use at Ohm – not just in the Writing Center. Ohm members are provided with the software free of charge. Here you can find out how to get MS Teams, activate your account, and download it. In the Self Service Portal of the central IT services (Zentrale IT), you will find a guide on how to use MS Teams.
