The writing type test was developed by Dzifa Vode and Erika von Rautenfeld based on the writing strategies in Wyllie, Ali (2000): “On the road to discovery: A study of the composing strategies of native and non-native academic writers using the word processor.” In: Broady, E. (ed.): Second language writing in a computer environment. London: CILT, p. 95–116. We would like to point out that the idea of writing types greatly simplifies the reality of academic writing.
